Software Development
I am a professional Software Engineering Contractor
with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from
Stanford University. For more than 10 years I have
been working as an employee or freelance software
developer, during which I have accrued a large amount
of software-related experience through a very diverse
set of interests. My specialities, however, include
networked applications design, architecture and programming
in object-oriented, multi-tier, distributed- and
remote-functionality solutions, specifically with J2EE,
Oracle, CORBA and other distributed technologies. My
greatest programming experience has been with Java,
C++ and C, but I have a good knowledge of many other
languages as well. Additionally, a number of recent
forays into WebLogic and Dynamo have provided me with
a good basis in e-commerce and web- and application-server
technologies.
My role in a project is typically as the Technical Lead, Lead Architect, Senior Engineer, or Lead Developer. The process I enjoy the most is to enter a project early, be part of the group which designs the architecture, and then be deeply involved in the implementation and release efforts.
